A sad day

I learned today of the death of a friend. He was 86 years old and had been ill, so it wasn't a shock, but it's always sad to lose someone nonetheless. I have no idea what (if anything) is going on around the island today, as I've been inside most of the day hanging out with friends who are visiting (it rained all day, so it was a good one to stay inside). Rain or not, any day is a good one to spend with friends, something I was definitely reminded of with the loss of my friend today.
