There's a flyer at the Post Office which says that Ocracoke Child Care is accepting applications for teachers and assistants. If you don't need a job, but like to spend time with kids, they are always happy to accept volunteers.
From the perspective of someone who goes to Ocracoke Child Care on a daily basis, as a recipient of the services there (well, really Connor is the actual recipient), it seems to me like a wonderful place to work. What's not to love about a day full of hugs from little ones?
