Another choice for food...
I heard that the Pony Island Restaurant has reopened. I don't have any details, but will check on it and let you know what I find out. Mmmmm....Pony potatoes!

Love your blog !!!! Would you tell me what pony potatoes are? We've eaten there many times, but don't remember "pony potatoes".
Pony Potatoes are only available at breakfast, so if you've only eaten there for lunch or dinner, that may be why you've missed them. They are hash browns (the cubed/diced potato kind, not the shredded ones), with melted cheese, salsa and sour cream. They are warm and gooey and yummy...definitely comfort food!
I am blessed and lucky to call Ocracoke Island, NC home. Ocracoke is beloved of residents and visitors, and I hope this blog will be a way for folks to keep in touch with what's going on here, both in general and in my life specifically. It's a fix for your Ocracoke jonesing!
