Good eats!

I went to the Sunday buffet at Dajio and, as expected, it was excellent. There several sweet options, including apple pancakes, cinnamon uglies, and fruit, and several savory items, including shrimp and grits, potatoes, and a seriously delicious egg strata. If you're looking for a place Sunday brunch, I recommend it!

Now here are a few additional options for food in the next few weeks:
- Sunday 1/31 - farewell potluck for Pastor Sam, Assembly of God Church, after the morning service (which starts at 11:00 AM)
- Sunday 1/31 - spaghetti lunch fundraiser for Boy Scouts, Jason's restaurant
- Wednesday 2/3, noon - lunch (soup, sandwiches, and hot dogs) - Methodist Church Rec Hall (I'm not sure, but this may be a fundraiser for the United Methodist Women, who are raising money to work on maintenance needs for the Parsonage)
- Saturday 2/6, 4:00 PM - dinner fundraiser for a local lady fighting Multiple Sclerosis - Methodist Church Rec Hall
- Sunday 2/14, noon - lunch (fundraiser for Parsonage work)

Eat up, and enjoy!

Is Pastor Sam leaving Ocracoke Assembly of God?

Yes, he is. The Garris family is going to China to serve there.

The fundraiser for Tina Robinson is scheduled for Feb.6th from 4-6 at the Methodist Church Rec hall, not 1/6. Thanks Sue

Whoops...my mistake. I'll fix that. Would be hard to make a fundraiser on 1/6 unless I get my magic time machine working! :)
