THE HAT!

Here - because I promised my friend Jamie - is a photo of my fantastic hat, hanging on the wall in my bedroom, where it matches my decor quite well!

The whole shebang:

A closeup view so you can see all those great details:

And a view in context, so you can see I wasn't kidding when I said it matches my decor.

Thanks! I agree...and I smile every time I walk in there and see it. :)

Katie - It's an awesome, beautiful work of art. I'm so glad it has found such a lovely home with you!

Aaaww, thanks Trisha! I'm so glad the hat gets to live here with me, too. Partially because it's just gorgeous and fun to look at (and wear!), but also because every time I see it I'm reminded of the blessing of good friends, since one of my wonderful friends bought it for me.

Kati,
Is there still Bingo at the fire department on Tuesday nights? And what time does it begin? We are camping at the National Park campground in July and want to come play.

Thanks!

Hi Debbie! There is indeed still Bingo on Tuesday nights at the fire house. My mom and I went last week and I have a blog in "draft" about it, which I'll post in the next couple of days, after I find a few minutes to write and upload the pictures.

Bingo starts at 7:30 - doors open at 7:00 and in July it's a good idea to get there as early as 6:30 to ensure you get in, as there is seating for only 100 people and it fills up quickly that time of summer.

When in July are you going to be here? I will be at Bingo as a player on 7/6 and as a volunteer on 7/13, and would love to meet you!

We will be there on the 13th. We are arriving that day, but we will get to the island early enough to set up camp and be there that night. We have to leave on the 20th, so the 13th will be the only chance.

More than likely I'll go to church on Sunday morning too. But, I'll be sure and say Hi at Bingo...you are right about the seating. Last year my daughter and I went and almost couldn't get in; we couldn't sit together. See you then!
